Hello
I am a writer and a freelance editor in Western North Carolina. I created Write As Rain Editing and Consultation to help writers of all genres and skill levels reach their goals. I am particularly passionate about helping new and emerging writers hone their skills. With a background in writing and education, I love teaching and talking about writing, especially with tweens and teens that are interested in reading and writing.
My Story
I have a BA in Professional Writing from Western Carolina University with a strong focus on literature, as well as a few courses in elementary education. I am a member of the North Carolina Writers' Network and serve as the Network's representative for Jackson County, North Carolina. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Cashiers School of the Arts in Cashiers, North Carolina and serve as their secretary.

I currently live in Western North Carolina with my husband and our two dogs. When I'm not writing, editing, or teaching, I can usually be found either in a kayak or knee-deep in a thrift store somewhere.
